Monday | Oct. 2

  • Computer Help - Martin Luther King, Jr. Library Branch – Computer Area
    10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Details: Receive one-on-one dedicated computer assistance from a Dallas Public Library staff member. We're here to help with computer skills, accessing social services, connectivity, job applications, creating resumes, and more.

Tuesday | Oct. 3

  • Computer Help - Martin Luther King, Jr. Library Branch – Computer Area
    10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Details: One-on-one computer help continues, providing valuable assistance with various digital tasks.
  • Job Search Assistance and More - J. Erik Jonsson Central Library – Study Room 8 (6th Floor).10 a.m. to Noon Details: The CARDBoard Project is ready to help you with job search assistance, housing resources, and more.
  • Computer Basics - Vickery Park Library Branch- Classroom 1
    10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.Details: Learn essential computer skills, including typing, using a mouse, internet basics, and email, with the guidance of our library staff.
  • (Em)powerment Pop-up - Provided by CARDBoard Project/Dallas Innovation Alliance at Prairie Creek Library Branch 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.Details: Discover (Em)powerment Pop-ups, an initiative designed to bridge the digital divide through access, affordability, and training.
  • One on One with JP – Computer Assistance - Prairie Creek Library Branch
    2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Details: Get individualized computer assistance from JP, who's here to help with your tech-related questions.
  • Girls Who Code - Forest Green Library Branch – Karen Blumenthal Auditorium
    4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Details: Join us for coding fun and meet other girls interested in computer science.
  • Perot Tech Truck - Hampton-Illinois Library Branch- Black Box Theater
    4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Details: The Perot Museum of Nature and Science's Tech Truck brings hands-on STEM activities to kids after school.

Wednesday | Oct. 4

  • Computer Help - Martin Luther King, Jr. Library Branch 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Details: Continue to receive one-on-one computer help from Dallas Public Library staff, addressing computer skills, accessing social services, connectivity, job applications, creating resumes, and more.
  • (Em)powerment Pop-Up - Martin Luther King Library Branch 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Details: (Em)powerment Pop-ups are an initiative resulting from the collaboration between the CARDboard Project and Dallas Innovation Alliance, both dedicated to bridging the digital divide through access, affordability, and training.
  • Beginner Computer Class - Prairie Creek Library Branch- Auditorium
    Details: Noon to 1 p.m. Details:  Work on basic computer skills like keyboard practice, mouse practice, browser practice, search engine practice, and managing Windows. Space is limited.
  • STEAM Wednesday’s at Vickery Park: Galaxy Slime  - Vickery Park Library Branch- Classroom B  3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Details:  Join us at Vickery Park for Steam Programming! This program is for school-age children to learn about science, technology, engineering, art, and math.
  • Online Grocery Shopping Class- Innercity Community Development Corporation (ICDC) Homeownership Center - 4907 Spring Ave, Dallas, TX 75210     3 p.m. to 4 p.m. (English) and 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. (Spanish)  Details:  Learn the ins-and-outs of the Kroger app. It puts convenience, savings, and rewards at your fingertips. No registration is required. 

Thursday | Oct. 5 

  • Digital Equity Art Contest  - Hosted by the Office of Arts & Culture and City Manager’s Office, winners of the Digital Equity Art Contest will be announced at noon at the J Erik Jonsson Central Library on the 6th floor. The artwork will be displayed for Digital Equity awareness.
  • Computer Help  - Martin Luther King, Jr. Library Branch  10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.   Details: One-on-one dedicated computer help with a staff member from the Dallas Public Library. Staff will help residents with computer skills, accessing social services, connectivity, job applications, creating a resume and more.    
  • Job Search Assistance and More - J Erik Jonsson Central Library – Triangle Area (1st Floor) 10 a.m. to Noon   Details: CARDBoard Project is here to help connect residents to job search assistance, housing resources, access to essentials and more. Stop by for a one-on-one session. This partnership is in collaboration with the CARDBoard Project and Downtown Dallas, Inc. 
  • Clase de Internet Intermedio; Intermediate Internet Class (Spanish) - Prairie Creek Library Branch – Classroom 1 - 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.  Details: This class will be an intermediate computer class that deals with critical thinking of computer applications and hardware. Particiants should already have a working knowledge of basic typing, internet, and mouse skills along with window management.
  • (Em)powerment Pop-up  - Central Library Details: (Em)powerment Pop-ups are an initiative created through a partnership between the CARDboard Project and Dallas Innovation Alliance. Both Dallas based nonprofits focus on bridging the digital divide through the ‘three legs of the stool’ – access, affordability and training – to make a more connected community. 
  • Perot Tech Truck  - Hampton-Illinois Library Branch - 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.     Details: The Perot Museum of Nature and Science will bring their Tech Truck to the library for kids to engage in hands-on STEM activities after school.

Friday | Oct. 6 

  • Computer Help - Martin Luther King, Jr. Library 3 p.m - 4 p.m Details:  One-on-one dedicated computer help with a staff member from the Dallas Public Library. Staff will help residents with computer skills, accessing social services, connectivity, job applications, creating a resume and more.   
  • Computer Basics  - Vickery Park Library Branch – Classroom A  10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Details:  Library staff is available to provide one-on-one instruction on topics like learning to type and using a mouse, “Getting Started on a Computer,” “Internet for Beginners” and “Email for Beginners.” The computer sessions are for one hour. Please register at the front desk or call the branch at 214 671-2101. 
  • Clase de Internet para Principiantes; Beginner Internet Class (Spanish) - Prairie Creek Library Branch- Classroom 2  - 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.  Details: Classes on Microsoft Office, search engines, keyboarding, and e-mail will be taught in Spanish. Laptops will be provided. Classes are in Spanish. Space is limited. 
  • One-on-One Tech Help  - Renner-Frankford Library Branch- Computer Area  2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Details: No tech skills? No problem! Come to the library to get basic one-on-one computer help like how to use Microsoft Office programs, create a resume, or use our online library resources. Residents can also bring in their laptop, phone, or tablet for device-specific help. Appointments may be made in advance with the staff. 

Saturday | Oct. 7 

  • The Login Shop  - Innercity Community Development Corporation (ICDC) - 4907 Spring Ave, Dallas, TX 75210  10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Details:  Join this free event to learn how you and your family can Get Connected! Participate in fun activities like an online grocery shopping workshop, a laptop giveaway, and a chance to indulge in delectable food vendors.   • Community Office Hours and Affordable Connectivity Program Fair    - Bonton Farms - 6911 Bexar Street, Dallas, TX 75215  - 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.                Details: Join Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett's District Team for assistance with federal agencies and sign up to get $30 off your internet bill.
