The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) announced that the program’s funds will be gone in April 2024 and April will be the last month ACP benefits will be received.

In total, customers should receive AT LEAST three notices from their internet provider, but many may not have received or known to open/what to do.

Enrolled customers should reach out to their provider and explore options to either continue, switch or cancel their service. There is no penalty for canceling or switching plans either with the same provider, or to switch to another provider’s plan. 

The majority of providers will continue to offer low cost internet plans at $30.00 per month or less.
